Robbie is best known for directing the New York City, 2021, 2022, and 2023 National Tour, and Chappaqua Performing Arts Center productions of A Charlie Brown Christmas. The New York Times, Newsweek, and Time Out featured the show as one of the top events of the 2021 Holiday Season with performances on NBC, FOX5’s Good Day New York, and the Pix11 Morning Show.

Robbie recently finished his tenure as the Interim Artistic Director of the Metropolis Performing Arts Center in Chicago land where he directed productions of Cabaret, The Legend of Georgia McBride, The Addams Family. Robbie programmed the 2023/2024 season which saw a record number of season subscription packages.

Robbie originated the role of Alex in the long-running, off- broadway hit, Afterglow. Since then, Robbie has served as the Associate Director for the London production at the Southwark Playhouse and the Los Angeles production at the Hudson Theater. Robbie recently partnered with Midnight Theatricals again as the Associate Director of Scarlett Dreams at the Greenwich House Theater off- Broadway, starring Andrew Keenan-Bolger.

Additional directing credits include Bright Star at Theatre Aspen, Deathtrap at The Majestic Theater and the associate director of the Broadway National Tours of Chicago alongside Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and A Christmas Story the musical. Robbie is the former Associate Artistic Director of the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts.

Robbie is the current Director of Musical Theater at the Stella Adler Adler Studio of Acting in New York City and teaches acting at NYU.

An actor, Robbie’s credits include a recurring role as Chad on ABC’s General Hospital, AMC’s DIETLAND, Hulu’s THE PATH opposite Aaron Paul, and SyFy’s HORROR MOVIE. Off-Broadway credits include with The Mint, Midnight Theatricals, FPA, The Gingold Group/ Project Shaw, and The Juilliard School. Regionally, Robbie has played leading roles at The Old Globe, Syracuse Stage, The Repertory Theater of St. Louis, The Cape Playhouse, The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, Berkshire Theater Festival, and recently finished playing Tom in The Glass Menagerie at the Majestic Theater.

Robbie is the host of The Breakdown with Robbie, a popular industry podcast featuring conversations with television and theater’s top directors, casting directors, agents, managers, producers, writers, high profile actors etc. recent guests include Joe Mantello, Jack O’Brien, Michael Arden, Walter Bobbie, Judy Kuhn, Gavin Creel, Jeff Calhoun among many others.

Robbie is a native of West Springfield, Massachusetts. Training includes an MFA from the University of San Diego and a BFA from Syracuse University. Robbie is represented by Christopher Silveri at Center Stage Management and UIA Talent Agency.
